Program Coordinator Job Description

Part-time, Flexible

Combination of remote and in-person hours

12-16 hours/week from September to March

Increased up to 24 hours/week from April to August

$20.00/hour

 

The ideal candidate participated in and/or has been a volunteer staff member for the Summer Leadership Program and/or Leaders In Prevention.

Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older, due to supervisory needs during programs

  • Strong presentation and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, including reprioritizing based on unexpected deadlines

  • Skilled in social media, including email, Facebook, Instagram, Canva, and our organization’s website.

  • Ability to manage the boundaries between the professional aspects of the position and the personal relationships formed within the TI Community.

  • Excellent written and verbal skills

  • Demonstrated experience with group facilitation.

  • A team player who is flexible, collaborative, and proactive.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Co-facilitate prevention-based training sessions, workshops, and outreach activities for schools and community groups.

  • Assist in marketing TI programs to schools, organizations, and individuals.

  •  Assist in the recruitment of TI program volunteers and participants.

  •  Coordinate the planning and implementation of volunteer staff trainings.

  • Maintain contact databases, including volunteers and alumni.

  • Assist in maintaining NH Teen Institute’s online presence.

  • Prepare and package materials for TI programs.

  • Assist the Executive Director and Grant Writer with development projects or research.

  • Complete all pre- and post-program data input, paperwork organization, and filing.

  • Assist with program follow-up, including surveys, mailings, and other needs.

  • Assist with planning and implementation of events as needed.

  • Assist with the upkeep of program supplies and archival storage requirements.

  • Represent TI at coalition/school/community group meetings as needed.

  • Participate in regular (e.g. monthly) supervision meetings with the Program Director.

  • Other tasks as assigned.

 

Additional Considerations & Expectations

 

The Program Coordinator is a representative and an ambassador of the NH Teen Institute and its programs, and is responsible for many of the interactions TI has with our community at large. Part of the position’s responsibility will be to promote the culture and ideals of TI, as well as assist volunteers, alumni, and participants in navigating the systems and culture.

 

  • Bring personal ideas or concerns about the organization, its programs, or related individuals to the designated organization and/or program leadership.

  • Assist volunteers, alumni, or participants in navigating the designated organization and/or program leadership when requested or presented with a concern.

  • Role model appropriate conflict management.

  • Adhere to the TI Code of Ethics.
